Medical safety is assessed from the outset of the admissions process. On arrival, clients undergo appropriate medical and clinical assessments to identify any immediate health concerns and evaluate the risk of withdrawal or other potential complications.
As part of Samarpan's internal admission protocol, clients are observed for the first 72 hours following admission. This period allows the clinical team to monitor the client's physical and psychological wellbeing, identify any emerging withdrawal symptoms or other concerns, and determine whether additional medical or nursing support is required.
Where clinically indicated, enhanced nursing observation, withdrawal monitoring, or other appropriate measures may be provided. The frequency and intensity of monitoring within the 72-hour observation period, and any monitoring required beyond it, are determined by each client's individual clinical needs.

The level and duration of monitoring are determined according to each client's clinical needs rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.
